01Envoy eBase
Churchdoesn't stopon Sunday.
Ten minutes from your front door, a group meets in someone's living room to eat, talk honestly and pray. You would be welcome at it.
02The idea
What iseBase?
You can stand next to someone at church for a year and never learn their name. eBase exists so that stops happening. A smaller group of people who live near you, meeting through the month, where you are actually known.
Your group is built around where you live: LE1 through LE18 for Leicester, or your town for Loughborough, Hinckley, Coalville, Derby and Peterborough. The people you meet are your neighbours. You will end up in each other's kitchens, eating properly, and talking about work, money, family and faith.
You do not have to be an Envoy member. Most people in a group are, and they bring their neighbours, families and friends along. If you are new to the city, far from home, or just tired of small talk after the service, this is where to start.
03The point
Fellowship and communion.
You will be fed, you will laugh, and at some point someone will ask how you are actually doing. That is the bit most people are missing.

What you can expect
You get known
You meet people you would never run into on a Sunday, and then you keep meeting them. Within a few months they know what is actually going on in your life.
You open the Bible together
Time in the Word with people walking the same road, and room to say what you are really dealing with rather than the version you give at the door.
You eat, properly
Groups meet in each other's homes. There is food, there are games, there is prayer, and there are conversations about career and money you would not have anywhere else.
05From our members
In their own words
It's really like a family. You get to meet and interact with people you would otherwise never meet in the church generally. We have fun, we have games, we share the word of God. It's made church fun.
We come together and have fun, go to each other's houses, eat good food, talk about life, community, career, finance. An amazing time.
It brings everyone together outside of the church setting, to create a community where you feel safe, to fellowship and break bread, and make new friends and new family relationships.
It helps us not to feel lonely. eBase provides the community that we need.

07Frequently Asked Questions
Before you join
The things people ask before their first one.
Still not sure? Ask in any group's WhatsApp chat and someone will get back to you.
Find your groupWhat actually happens at a group?
You eat together, catch up on life and spend time in the Word of God. There are games, there is a lot of food, and there is room to talk honestly about what you are walking through: work, money, family, faith. Members describe it as more like family than a meeting.
Where do groups meet?
In each other's homes, mostly. That is the point of eBase. It happens where people actually live rather than in the church building.
Which group should I join?
The one nearest you. Groups are organised by area, so join the one covering where you live: LE1 through LE18 for Leicester, or your town for Loughborough, Hinckley, Coalville, Derby and Peterborough. If you are between two, either is fine.
How do I join once I've picked one?
Tap its Join button and WhatsApp opens on that group's chat, where someone will welcome you in. Nothing to fill in and no account to create. Every card also has a QR code tucked behind Show QR code, if you would rather scan it or pass it on to someone else.
I'm new to the city and don't know anyone. Is that OK?
That is exactly who eBase is for. As our head of eBase puts it, it helps people not to feel lonely. Being far from home is common here, and the group is there so you are not doing it on your own.
Do I need to be part of Envoy already to come along?
Groups are mostly made up of Envoy members, but you do not have to be one. Members bring their neighbours, families and friends along all the time. Fellowship and communion are the whole point of eBase, so there is a place at the table for you either way. Join the group nearest you and say hello in the chat.
How often do groups meet?
Once a month. Each group agrees a date between themselves that suits everyone's availability, so it is not the same day every month. Ask in its WhatsApp chat and someone will tell you when the next one is.
Can I bring my children?
Yes, children are welcome. Groups meet in people's homes and families come as families, so there are usually kids in the room.
